Duck Captain
Seasonal: Starting at $16 per hour
Ride the Ducks is always looking for people with great attitudes, boating experience and a flair for entertainment to be a Duck Captain. All our Captains have at least a 25-ton USCG Master's License and a Class C commercial driver's license.
We have a paid training program through which you can obtain both of these licenses, but it requires that you have a significant amount of boating experience. Each applicant must be able to document at least one hundred twenty (120) total days of boating experience over their lifetime with at least forty-five (45) of those days in the last three (3) years. Documentation can be in the form of a USCG Sea Service form (available from the USCG here), a letter from the boat owner, or a letter from a former employer.

Mechanic
Full-time: Wage DOE, benefits available
Ride the Ducks prides ourselves on having the safest DUKW fleet in the world, but safety requires an excellent team of mechanics for preventative maintenance throughout the busy season and thorough annual inspections during the winter. All our vehicles carry a Certificate of Inspection (COI), showing that each vehicle was rigorously inspected by the Coast Guard on an annual basis. Our team requires that you are an experienced gas and/or diesel mechanic with expertise in diagnosis and repair of both mechanical and electrical problems, as well as preventative maintenance. It is helpful if you also have experience re-building engines, transfer cases and drive-trains.
You must have a valid driver's license; CDL is helpful. Marine and/or heavy-duty truck experience is also beneficial. Wages depend on experience. Medical, dental and 401(k) benefits available.

Customer Service and Sales Staff
Seasonal: $11 per hour
Ride the Ducks hires awesome customer service and sales staff in the spring and summer for seasonal work through October. This position will work in our ticket booth and gift shop, providing top-notch customer service while selling tickets and merchandise to our customers. Our tours are fun and we are looking for people who can reflect that with bright-eyed, sparkling personalities and who genuinely enjoy working with people. Basic computer skills required. Approximately 25 hours per week. Shifts available seven days a week.
